Sep 18,  · Here's a youtube playlist 'Great Jazz Documentaries' that i saved. Here's another playlist, 10 parts of 'Straight No Chaser', a Thelonious Monk docu. Here's a (fairly low quality but still fascinating) documentary on Art Tatum. Not a documentary, but Oscar Peterson had a chat/play a bit with Andre Previn that I found really interesting, talks a lot about Art Tatum, playing with a trio vs solo.

The Picture--A Great Day in Harlem—Honoring Jazz Artists Everywhere. Without a doubt, it’s the most famous jazz artists picture of all time. There were fifty-seven great jazz musicians who gathered together on the steps of a Harlem brownstone early in the morning one day in August to commemorate the history of jazz.
